Sing your Love

Sing your Love

“Once upon a time when women were birds there was a simple understanding that to sing at dawn and to sing at dusk was to heal the world through joy. The birds still remember what we have forgotten, that the world was meant to be celebrated.” –Terry Tempest William

I sing my prayers in the morning. It’s the only way I know to start another day of loving.

When others are listening to news of a new calamity across the world, I rise with a quiet breath to begin the slow process of awakening.

Here, we are only instruments for the music.

On the other side of the veil, I am still a bird, flying free among the angels.

So as I greet another morning, let my song be pure of tone, blending in harmony with the One. Let it be real and full of wonder. Let it give more than it takes, celebrate more than it complains, bring peace more than it stirs angst.

Let my voice be an instrument of healing, as it remembers the Gift of being alive. For this is the way we will heal the world, one Voice, one Song at a time.

Whatever your heart is calling you to speak, let it come as a Love Song. Let your voice be strong and true, at times insistent, other times caressing and calm. Say what needs to be said, and through it all, keep singing your own special note of joy.

Sing at dawn. Sing at dusk. Begin and end each day celebrating your place in the world.

What are you celebrating today?
